Gapotape
This is an excellent product and easy to use but the cost will put a lot of trades off from using it at the moment it adds 25% to the cost of the insulation if this could be reduced to 10% a lot more people will use it

Works well – essential when using celotex
This product is a game changer – say goodbye to gaps and dust everywhere when installing celotex. The tape gives you a margin for cutting error and makes handling much easier as you don’t end up with clouds of evil dust everywhere. Don’t install without it!

Perfect solution for fitting celotex , but stupidly expensive – now make my own for a fraction of the cost , I use thin foam and aluminium tape , bit more fiddling but works perfect for20% of the cost

If you use PIR insulation, then you need to be using gapotape full stop. I’ve installed hundreds of sheets over the years and you never get a perfect fit if cut by a saw/blade or festool insulation cutter, there are always small gaps which makes the insulation redundant. Gapotape is expensive, adding about 70% on top of the celetex , but the time Read more about review stating Superbgained to achieve a perfect fit offsets the cost. We are also giving the client a structure that meets building regs. I have bought gapotape twice and will not return to fitting insulation without it. The client is the person who ultimately pays for this product, so when you explain that over the lifetime of the building, the savings on heating bills will pay for the initial outlay ten times over. Our business model going forward is to always use gapotape if PIR insulation is specified. In short, to not use gapotape will cost your client ten/twenty times more money in the long run. Great tape, but cost could be an issue for some.
Although in general the tape meets all requirements needed, once you have a system going it can be quick to install.
Certainly the way forward for pir insulation.

makes a tricky job simple and huge improvement over the gaps that you inevitably end up with insulation cut to fit in the traditional way. I used this product on a renovation of an older property and the rafters were particularly twisted and uneven, the Gapotape comfortably soaked up the irregularities to give a neat and efficient thermal upgrade. Delivery was fast and efficient. Highly recommended all round.

Quite expensive but easy to
Quite expensive but easy to apply. Fills gaps well but you still need the roofer to fit the trusses parallel to allow less work fitting.

This product is actually a 5 star but the price is far to high 100m at £237inc VAT then you have to to pay for delivery on top pushing it to the £250 mark is not value for money I’m currently insulating my loft and will need more of it to finish this product is almost as much as I’m paying for the PIR boards

Great Product
Overall this is a fantastic product – used the 100mm tape on an external flat roof ceiling for an outhouse. It worked smoothlessly on large lengths that did not deviate much and had to be cut down by 10mm. However, where joist warping was apparent, it was more difficult to accommodate. Two potential upgrades to this product would be beneficial – 1Read more about review stating Great Product) The quality of the actual tape could be improved, as this did not always stick to PIR insulation (yes it was cleaned) and 2) Pricing – unless your adding this product on yourself, factor in the time and labour for installation as the product in itself is expensive and doesnt necessarily go along way before it is all finished.
